形態特徵

• Small Trees or shrubs; branches terete, hirsute, glabrescent with age.
• Leaves coriaceous, obovate or oblong-obovate, 2–4.5 cm long, 1.2–2 cm wide, glabrous above, apex rounded emarginate, base acute, margins crenate, revolute, midrib impressed; petioles 1–2 mm long.
• Flowers axillary, solitary or 2–3 in cluster; pedicels 1–2 mm long Male flowers: sepals 5, semiorbicular, 1.5 mm long, slightly pilose to glabrous; petals 5, ovate, 3 mm long; stamens about 10. Female flowers: sepals 5, semiorbicular, 1–1.5 mm long; petals 5, ovate, 2 mm long; ovary subglobose, 1.2 mm long; styles 1 mm long, 3-fid.
• Fruit globose, 3–5 mm in diameter.

分布

• 台灣 : confined to the northern part and Is. Lanyu.
• 世界 : E China, Korea, Japan and the Ryukyus.
